Well, I believe that the college coaches should know I'm very versatile. I can play anywhere in the secondary as well as drop down into the box and make an impact at the outside linebacker position. I have helped my team out as a running back and wide receiver on offense.
My first season playing defense was better than most being plugged into the starting position during late region play and playoffs in that season. I felt as if, I provided some stability to the defense because of the coaching by the staff and my preparation. I put up 1 interception 1 sack 32 solos and 20 assist tackles
My goal this season is to win a state championship but individually my goal is to almost double my stats last year and so far, I'm doing that noticeably with 3 sacks 3 forced fumbles and 3 TfL's.
Coaches should recruit me if they want a player to do their job and beyond that, someone who understands football and wants to win. I feel like college programs need someone who puts the team first and is hardworking, but also coachable who displays good technique. I'm a ball hog always looking for it and more importantly, I love the game. I enjoy the process and willing to work for the results I want.
This season has started well for me, and I am excited about the opportunity that is Infront of me this school year.
I have watched Stephen compete solidly in his role on varsity as a young player. He step in to a role with the team as a sophomore. I learned that Stephen will provide quick pressure blitzing off the edge from the Nickle/ Outside linebacker positions. Stephen is a sure tackler and excels with underneath coverage.
Stephen has good awareness when it comes to reading the quarterback. I love the instincts that he plays with and once he recognizes the play, he closes ground pretty quickly. At one point I said, and I quote "I haven't seen much of him in man coverage, and I also do not know how good Stephen plays in space as a deep safety so looking forward to finding out." After watching more film, I learned that this kid can definitely challenge receiver in man coverage.
I know that he has a competitive spirit and a hunger to learn. He will be one of the ones to stand out in the Georgia area at the position. Barjolo plays with confidence and swag. Excited for what he will do as a junior.
As a coach, it is a big plus if you can fill in a young sophomore and still have success, especially with tough competition on the field in front of you. Here is what we know, Stephen will take advantage of the opportunities he is given. He is tough with great football instincts.
We have learned that Stephen is responsible with his education, earning recognition from the Collins Hill program. Athlete like him are great for the team because coaches know that smart player will understand the system and be able to execute mentally.
